Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer fulfilled Trump in the Oval Office on Monday along with their Republican equivalents, House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Bulk Leader John Thune, and Vice President JD Vance.
Speaking to CNN hours ahead of the federal government closing down, Jeffries said Trump’s behavior made it tough to hammer out an offer on costs.
Phillip recommended the Oval Office meeting only led to trolling by Trump.
Jeffries also discussed Trump publishing “racist” videos on his Fact Social platform in which the House minority leader is using an AI-generated sombrero and sporting a mustache.
Trump posted the first AI video of Jeffries, in a sombrero, with Schumer on Monday as they stood outside the White Home after there conference.
Then on Tuesday, after Jeffries called that preliminary video “disgusting” throughout an interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, the 79-year-old posted another AI clip, this time with numerous versions of Trump as the members of a mariachi band playing behind Jeffries, as soon as again in sombrero and mustache.

Rep. Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania replied: “Not your style? It’s disgraceful. It’s racist. You should call it out.”
” We just dont have serious negotiating partners today,” Jeffries said. “On the other side of the aisle, because they’re taking part in this erratic habits, posting racist, phony AI videos. It speaks for itself in terms of the American people concluding who’s serious and who’s lethal unserious.”
Johnson was caught on video camera informing a Democratic congresswoman that Trump’s AI video was “not my design,” in video posted on X by CNN’s Manu Raju on Tuesday.
House Minority LEader Hakeem Jeffries identified the “strangest” moment throughout a White Home meeting with DOnald Trump that failed to avoid a federal government shutdown.
