Jeffrey Epstein, a disgraced financier, may have had a baby boy sometime in 2011, according to an email he received from Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York. This email was made public on Friday by the Justice Department as part of the release of about 3.5 million files related to Epstein. The Independent.reported on this.
Sarah Ferguson wrote to Epstein in 2011, just after he was released from jail, saying she had heard he had become a father to a “baby boy.”
She said she learned this from her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and tried to reach Epstein via BlackBerry Messenger even though they hadn’t spoken in a while.
In the message, she wrote, “Don’t know if you are still on this BBM but heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy.
Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship, and congratulations on your baby boy. Sarah xx.” The message was sent on September 21, 2011, about 14 years ago.
Even though the email suggests Epstein may have had a son, it hasn’t been proven that he actually fathered any children.
During his life, he never admitted to having kids. However, more than 100 people have since claimed to be his children and have tried to claim part of his wealth.
Another email from Ferguson, also sent in September 2011, shows she accused Epstein of disappearing and using her to get to Mountbatten-Windsor.
She wrote, “You have disappeared. I did not even know you were having a baby. It was sooooo crystal clear to me that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeeply [sic]. More than you will know.”
Other emails in the files show that a few years earlier, Epstein had a private investigator look into Ferguson’s personal life.
In an email dated August 20, 2009, an associate told him, “Fergie data collection remains slow.” Epstein replied, “Keep on it.”

Later, the same person complained about Ferguson’s financial situation.
“Getting financials for Fergie is painful. Incredible mess. I’m on it but for sure completeness will always remain questionable,” the email said. These exchanges suggest Epstein was collecting private information about Ferguson while still appearing to be her friend publicly.
The emails with Ferguson are part of about 3 million Epstein records and 180,000 photos released by the Department of Justice on Friday.
This disclosure is under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which required the department to publish all related documents by December 19. Although they missed the deadline, documents are being released in batches.
Ferguson appears often in these newly released files.
They show she stayed in touch with Epstein after his conviction and offered him and his friends VIP access to Buckingham Palace.
The files also show that Mountbatten-Windsor continued his relationship with Epstein long after he claimed to have ended contact.
The documents indicate their connection lasted until at least 2017, about seven years after he said he had stopped speaking to him. Mountbatten-Windsor, who was recently stripped of his royal titles, is seen in one newly released photo kneeling over a woman whose identity is hidden.
