People gathered in big numbers on Saturday for “No Kings” demonstrations across the United States and around the world. These protests were against President Donald Trump and his policies during his second term.
The “No Kings” website says: “Masked secret police are frightening our communities.
An illegal and dangerous war is putting us at risk and increasing our costs. Attacks on our freedom of speech, our civil rights, and our right to vote. High costs are pushing families to the edge.” It adds, “Trump wants to rule over us like a tyrant.”
This was the third “No Kings” event since the first one in June.
A White House spokesperson, Abigail Jackson, referred to the protests as “Trump derangement therapy sessions,” saying to The New York Times, “the only people who care” are “the reporters who are paid to cover them.”
