Indiana Jones never really liked Nazis…
Ford told The Guardian that Trump “doesn’t have any real plans, he just follows his moods.
It really worries me. The ignorance, the arrogance, the lies, the dishonesty. [Trump] knows better, but he’s an instrument of the old ways and he’s making a lot of money, while the world gets worse and worse.”
“It’s unbelievable.
I don’t know of a bigger criminal in history,” he added.
The Star Wars icon nailed it.
Trump has no real beliefs, just basic desires. His only goal as president is to get as much power and wealth for himself as he can. Meanwhile, the world burns and Americans suffer more and more.
Ford was especially upset about Trump’s fight against efforts to stop climate change.
Last month, Trump said climate change is “the biggest scam ever pulled on the world.” Ford called Trump’s position “a clear sign of ignorance, arrogance, and deliberate deception” from a man who hates wind turbines because he “has never seen a profitable one.”
As with most of Trump’s favorite ideas, it’s easy to see why he’s so against climate science.
It’s the usual corruption. Trump got huge donations from fossil fuel companies and filled his government with people who support oil. Downplaying the damage Big Oil has done to the Earth is Trump’s way of returning the favor for putting him in power.
Ford also pointed out the growing number of climate-related disasters around the world as a big concern.
“I knew it was coming, I’ve been talking about this for 30 years,” he said.
“Everything we’ve said about climate change has come true. Why isn’t that enough to make people change their ways? Because of the old ways being in charge.”
Still, the Hollywood icon remains hopeful about the future as more countries start using cleaner sources of energy.
“He’s losing ground because everything he says is a lie,” Ford said about Trump.
“I’m confident we can slow things down, change how we act, create new tech, and focus more on putting those plans into action.”
“But we need the political will and understanding to realize that humans can change.
We are very adaptable, very creative. If we focus on a problem, we can usually fix it,” he added.
