A 42-year-old man named Scott Thomas Deiseroth from Miami, which is in Florida, was stopped by police because he was driving recklessly and swerving into oncoming traffic. When the officers approached his car, they found two children, aged 7 and 9, inside with him. Deiseroth immediately claimed he was with DHS, which sounds like he was trying to imply he was with ICE, suggesting he thought he was above the law and allowed to drive while drunk.
Deiseroth failed the field sobriety tests and was taken into jail.
But his actions during the whole traffic stop were really shocking.
When the officers asked him to step out of the car, he responded with, “Are you f*cking serious right now?”
and said, “You know what, call my supervisor.” One officer then asked if he wanted to do the exercises, and Deiseroth replied, “What’s homeboy over there doing?” The Black officer calmly explained that the other officer was setting up cones to keep traffic safe and asked him to just do the tests so they could move on.
Deiseroth then asked, “Are you Haitian?”
The Black officer said that had nothing to do with the situation, and Deiseroth repeated, “My question was, ARE YOU HAITIAN?” in a threatening way. The white officer said it didn’t matter, but Deiseroth insisted it did.
The white officer then said, “If you’re a cop, whatever, just get in the car.”
Deiseroth slurred, “YEA I’M F*CKEN LAW ENFORCEMENT,” and said he wouldn’t get in the car without his supervisor. He kept saying, “NOPE NOT GOING IN THERE WITHOUT MY SUPERVISOR.”
Eventually, the officers had to physically push him into the back of their patrol car.
The arrogance of these disgusting ICE people is unbelievable.
They really think they’re above the law and don’t care about putting their own kids in danger or threatening other law enforcement officers.
Can you imagine how this man would have reacted if an immigrant he tried to arrest acted like this?
Thankfully, the consequences for this guy came very quickly.
