This has MAGA people really upset.
When Trump flipped off worker TJ Sabula at a factory in Michigan last month, he said his usual line, “You’re fired,” thinking he could use his political power to get him fired.
But he was way off.
Laura Dickerson, a top officer at the UAW, said at a political event, “This ain’t ‘The Apprentice,’” and explained that Sabula won’t be punished and will keep his job.
She made it clear that the union backs workers’ right to speak freely.
Last month, Dickerson told the press, “The UAW will make sure our member gets all the protections from our contract, so he keeps his job and his rights as a union member.”
She also said, “Workers shouldn’t have to deal with rude language or actions from anyone—including the president of the United States.”
Clearly, Dickerson sticks to what she says.
As for Sabula, he never once apologized or backed down for what he said about the president.
He said, “I have no regrets about calling him out.
I think when fate gives you a chance, you better be ready to grab it. And I think I did that.”
The best part?
Sabula raised over $480,000 through GoFundMe while his job was still in doubt. Now, he’ll keep that money and his job. It turns out, being brave can pay off big.
