The president is getting more and more frustrated as his war in the Middle East, which he started without clear reason, isn’t working out. He’s getting angry on his social media platform and at reporters who are asking questions that any leader should answer during a war, like, “Why would you think it’s okay to use pictures of dead soldiers’ caskets in a scam email to raise money for your campaign?”
An ABC News reporter named Mariam Khan asked, “Your PAC sent out a fundraising email using you during a dignified transfer.
Do you think that’s appropriate?”
Trump replied, “I do.
I didn’t see it. Who are you with?” He immediately got defensive when a woman asked him questions.
After she said “ABC,” Trump became even more upset.
“I think it’s maybe the most corrupt news organization on the planet… I don’t want any more from ABC.”
But Khan didn’t back down and kept asking questions.
She later asked him why he was sending 5,000 troops to the Middle East, and he snapped, saying, “You’re a very obnoxious person.”
Khan stood her ground and asked a third question about a bombing in Iran that killed 160 children at a girls’ school.
He replied, “We don’t know.”
She asked again about the deaths of American troops, and he started ignoring her.
This is exactly the kind of behavior we need from the media.
They should hold him accountable, make him answer for the damage his bad decisions are causing, and not let him intimidate them. His desire for control is growing as he feels more desperate, and we must make sure he can’t hide the truth from the American people or escape being judged.
