CNN’s Kristen Holmes is reporting that Trump’s breakfast meeting with most of America’s governors went really wrong when news came that the Supreme Court had canceled Trump’s tariffs, which made the President really angry.
“We haven’t heard an official response from the White House or President Trump yet.
We’re waiting. I’m told they’re meeting and talking about how they should react,” Holmes said.
“But we know more about what happened during the breakfast when Trump found out about the Supreme Court’s decision.
It seemed like things were going well at first. The governors and Trump were working together. But then Trump got really upset. He started shouting about the decision, calling it a disgrace, and he started attacking the courts. At one point, he said, ‘these effing courts.'”
Holmes added a bit more: “This is a huge blow for Trump.
His economic plans rely heavily on these tariffs, and so does his foreign policy. He has always considered these tariffs the most important part of his economic agenda. So clearly, this is a major setback, and he knows it today.”
It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving candidate for a dictator!
It’s so fitting that the main part of Trump’s plan was taken down by some of the extreme judges he himself picked for the Supreme Court—and it’s really disturbing that three of them were willing to ignore the Constitution to support Trump’s control.
But don’t think for a moment that Trump’s increasing control over everything will not lead to a direct fight with the courts.
That fight will put our democracy in serious danger.
We need to be ready to take to the streets, stop the country, and stand up against dictatorship or we will lose our freedoms forever.
