We have gone fully into the territory of a crazy, angry leader…
“Dear Jonas: Because my country didn’t give me the Nobel Peace Prize for stopping 8 wars, I no longer feel the need to focus only on peace, although it will always be important, but now I can think about what’s best for the United States of America,” Trump started in his letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
The letter was shared by Nick Schifrin from PBS News, who said it was sent to “several European ambassadors in Washington.”
“Denmark can’t protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they even have a right to own it?”
Trump went on. “There are no written papers, it’s just that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there too.”
“I have done more for NATO than anyone since it was created, and now NATO should do something for the United States.
The world isn’t safe unless we have full control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT,” he ended.
Where do we even start with this madness?
To begin with, the Norwegian government has no say in who gets the Nobel Peace Prize. The award is decided by the Nobel Institute, which is based in Norway but is an independent organization.
Now, the bigger issue is Trump admitting he’s less focused on peace now because he was denied the peace prize.
That should be a reason for impeachment or even removal under the 25th Amendment. These are the words of a crazy leader. He clearly has serious mental health problems and is now threatening to attack a NATO country because of a small, personal grudge.
It’s painfully obvious that none of this is in the best interest of the United States.
We can already send as many troops and military resources to Greenland as we want under NATO agreements. Trump is pushing us away from our closest allies and starting another harmful trade war simply because he was upset that Barack Obama, a Black man, got an award he didn’t.
It’s no longer enough to just take Trump out of office.
He needs to be tried and put in prison for the rest of his life as punishment for this endless string of crimes.
