The California Democrat and his team held a press conference yesterday to criticize the Trump administration for keeping quiet about the Epstein files in order to shield Trump from serious accusations. Lieu reminded everyone that these accusations are really scary.
“So why are Republicans so focused on Bill Clinton?
It’s because they want to divert attention from the fact that Donald Trump appears thousands of times in the Epstein files. These files contain very disturbing claims, like Donald Trump raping children and threatening to kill them. I encourage the press to look into these claims,” said Lieu.
“And I’m really upset that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch got the law wrong.
He said that it’s not a crime to party with Jeffrey Epstein. That’s not true. If Epstein was trafficking minors for sex parties and you attend the event, you’re guilty because supporting the event is part of the law, the federal sex trafficking law.”
“So Deputy General Todd Blanch got that wrong, which might explain why they aren’t looking into all these people, including Donald Trump.
He needs to read the law and investigate these people. He also needs to resign, not just because he didn’t know the law, but because of a huge mistake and the biggest privacy violation in history.”
“They released a lot of pictures of minors without redacting any parts, which violated the privacy of these girls.
That was wrong. The one thing they couldn’t do under this law was invade the privacy of these women, who were girls at the time and victims of sex trafficking. Also, he met with Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell was moved to a low-security prison and then got a puppy. For all these reasons, he needs to leave the Department of Justice!”
The whole release of the Epstein Files has been a complete mess from the start.
It’s clear the government is covering things up to protect some of the worst predators in the world, one of whom might be the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
It’s important to remember that many of these allegations are from tip line calls, which can include lots of crazy or strange people.
However, considering Trump’s history of sexual misconduct and attraction to young women, full transparency is crucial.
We need all the files released without any changes and hold every criminal in them accountable for their actions — and the people who helped them avoid justice.
