Big news! Democrat Shawn Harris has forced a runoff election in the special race for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s heavily Republican Georgia House seat.
This is a huge deal.
If retired U.S. Army Brigadier General Shawn Harris can win this seat for the Democrats, it could be the end for Speaker Mike Johnson.
He currently has a one-seat majority in the House, and if Harris wins, he’ll lose that seat.
That would bring Trump’s presidency to a sudden stop, and he’d have to serve as a lame-duck president for three years.
That would be something, right?
Shawn Harris got 36.9% of the vote with 82% of the votes counted, beating the next closest Republican by 1.5%.
There were several Republicans running in this race, which means it’s going to be tough to flip the seat. But the momentum is on our side, and honestly, what does the Democratic Party do if not win big in runoffs in Georgia?
