Footage suggests that a Tomahawk missile probably destroyed an Iranian girls’ school. The first reporter asked, “So will the US take any responsibility?”
Trump responded, “I haven’t seen the footage, but I know that the Tomahawk is one of the most powerful weapons around.
It’s sold and used by other countries. Whether it’s Iran, who also has some Tomahawks and would like more, or someone else, the fact is, a Tomahawk is a common weapon. It’s sold to other countries. But, uh, that’s being investigated right now.”
In reality, the export of Tomahawk missiles is tightly controlled by the U.S. Only America, the U.K., Australia, and the Netherlands currently use the weapon.
The idea that Iran has access to these missiles is completely untrue.
The president’s false claim led to a strong response from another reporter:
“Mr. President, you just said that Iran somehow got its hands on a Tomahawk and bombed its own school on the first day of the war, but you’re the only person in your government saying this,” the reporter said.
“Even your Defense Secretary wouldn’t say that when he was asked, standing next to you on your plane on Saturday. Why are you the only one making this claim?”
“I just don’t know enough about it,” Trump said. “
I think it’s something I was told is under investigation, but Tomahawks are used by other countries, as you know. Many nations have Tomahawks. They buy them from us. But I’m willing to live with whatever the report shows.”
Trump is lying because he doesn’t want to admit that he killed at least 165 people when a U.S. missile hit a school in Minab, Iran, as part of a war he started on behalf of Israel.
The administration quickly claimed the incident was caused by an Iranian rocket or missile, but new footage has shown that it was actually an American Tomahawk.
Now it’s clear that the U.S. killed those schoolchildren.
This kind of evil never goes away, and no matter how much Trump lies about it, it will be a defining part of his legacy. He’s the president who killed children in a pointless, illegal war and then refused to admit it.
