“His hand, his hand! Oh! His hand,” an observer shouted during a disturbing incident at an Armed Services Subcommittee hearing.
“The senator broke his hand.
The senator broke his hand. A sitting U.S. senator just broke the hand of a Marine,” someone else shouted. “Control your Senate!”
Footage of the event shows Brian McGinnis, dressed in a Marine Corps Dress Uniform, being physically taken out of a Senate room for protesting.
As Senator Sheehy tries to remove him, the Marine’s hand gets stuck in the gap between the door and the wall and gets crushed.
“No one wants to fight for Israel!”
McGinnis shouts, referring to the fact that Trump started his illegal war against Iran because Israel wanted it. Secretary of State Marco Rubio admitted as much when he said the U.S. decided to attack because they knew Israel was about to attack and they were scared of the consequences.
“You’re a coward.
You’re a coward. Go f*ck yourself. Go f*ck yourself,” someone yells, seemingly at Sheehy.
According to CBS News, Alan He reports that McGinnis is a Green Party candidate for Senate in North Carolina.
The attack was recorded by an antiwar activist.
Senator Sheehy later called McGinnis an “unhinged protestor” and said he was trying to calm things down.
In reality, the only “unhinged” people here are the Republicans who are dragging this country into another evil, pointless, costly, blood-soaked war in the Middle East. McGinnis served in Iraq and clearly doesn’t want his country to repeat the same mistake again.”
