Donald Trump’s sickening post celebrating the death of Robert Mueller has caused strong backlash from people all around the political spectrum.
Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), who used to be a federal prosecutor, said: “We are sad to see Robert Mueller pass away, he was a real public servant … Yet the President of the United States is being disgusting by celebrating Mueller’s death just because he found out about Trump’s attempts to steal the 2016 election.”
Marine veteran Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) called Trump “a terrible person and a shame to the United States,” pointing out that Mueller “earned a Bronze Star with valor and a Purple Heart as a Marine fighting for this country.”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said: “The cruelty is the point,” adding that Trump is trying to distract from high gas prices, his illegal war, ICE problems, and the Epstein files.
MS NOW host Jonathan Lemire called it “cheering the death of Robert Mueller – an American citizen, public servant, and veteran.”
Former Justice Department spokesperson Xochitl Hinojosa called it “disgusting and very inappropriate,” saying: “This is not how we treat a respected veteran, prosecutor, and former FBI Director.”
Commentator Harry Sisson asked Republicans: “I expect every Republican who was upset about people celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death to quickly condemn Trump.
This is really disgusting.”
“Trump and Mueller were born just two years apart and grew up with similar advantages, but while Trump got five draft deferments during Vietnam, Mueller “volunteered for service … was hurt in battle, and received a Bronze Star with Valor,” activist Charlotte Clymer wrote.
“Trump had a bad feeling toward Mueller.”
This is Trump at his worst: celebrating the death of a decorated veteran and public servant who looked into him, while the country deals with his war, economic struggles, and problems.
The anger is from both sides of the political spectrum and is getting bigger.
