In today’s press conference, a reporter did something the Trump administration thinks is completely unacceptable: they asked a question based on real facts.
“Earlier, you were defending ICE agents in general.
Secretary Noem spoke to the media and said ICE is doing ‘everything correctly.’ But last year, 32 people died in ICE custody, 170 U.S. citizens were detained by ICE, and Renee Good was shot in the head and killed by an ICE agent. How does that mean they’re doing everything right?” asked the reporter.
Karoline Leavitt responded in a sneaky, sarcastic way, “Why was Renee Good tragically killed?”
The journalist answered correctly, “Because an ICE agent acted recklessly and killed her without any justification.”
Then Leavitt completely lost control.
“You’re a left-wing hack, you’re not a real reporter!”
she shouted. “You shouldn’t even be sitting in that seat! You’re pretending to be a journalist, but you’re really a left-wing activist, and your question and answer show your bias!”
“You’re pretending to be in this room as a journalist, and it’s obvious from the way you asked your question!

“You should be reporting on the facts, you should be reporting on the cases.
Do you have the numbers of how many American citizens were killed by illegal aliens that ICE is trying to remove from this country? I bet you don’t.”
“And the brave men and women of ICE are doing everything they can to remove these terrible people and make our communities safer.
“
“And shame on people like you in the media who have a twisted and biased view and pretend to be honest journalists.
“
Her outburst shows just how out of touch and unhinged these people are with reality—and how insecure they are in their world of lies.
They know that nothing they say has any real proof, so all they have is yelling, bullying, and weak attempts to scare people into silence.
It won’t work.
We will not forgive and we will not forget what this administration has done to so many innocent people.
Remember, Karoline, that German propagandists were tried at the Nuremberg Trials for their role in the shocking violence.
You’re just as guilty as the rest of them.
