I’ll be at the State of the Union tomorrow. I’ll be, you know, sitting, you know, where I normally do, front and center,” Kelly said. “I mean, why? This, you know, the president wanted to send me to jail, to prison, and said he was going to or tried to indict me a couple weeks ago.”
“And, you know, I need to be sitting there right in front of him to show I’m going to continue to do my job, regardless of what he thinks. I mean, this guy said I should be hanged, executed, prosecuted, and then tried to indict me. But I’ll be there in the chamber,” promised Kelly.
The senator added that he “100%” understands why some of his Democratic colleagues will be boycotting the event and said that he supports them fully.
“I mean, this president is violating the constitutional rights of many Americans, including me, by the way,” he said. “But we have two dead Americans in Minnesota. People have been beaten up. U.S. citizens have been deported. I get it. But, you know, in my view, for me personally, I need to be sitting right there.”
Trump had his corrupt Justice Department launch a sham investigation into Kelly and several other Democratic lawmakers after they released a video urging members of the U.S. military to disobey illegal orders. The DOJ sought indictments — a stunning abuse of our justice system for partisan purposes — but the grand jury refused to indict. Now, Kelly is making it clear that he is unafraid of future attacks from this corrupt fascist of a president.
