In a big move showing the effects of policies from the Trump time, Attorney General Pam Bondi has said the Justice Department is now looking into what she calls a ten-year “criminal conspiracy” by Democrats. This claim is so broad that it could make a QAnon website feel proud.
Bondi says the DOJ is looking into something called “lawfare” that happened during the time of Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
She says it’s a big, organized effort to use the justice system against Donald Trump and his friends. But here’s the twist: this announcement happens as the same group is using federal power to go after critics, journalists, and political enemies, all while saying they’re the ones being wronged.
Bondi’s comments, made to a friendly conservative news site, turn normal law enforcement actions into part of a big Democratic plan.
She even said that investigations into Trump weren’t real law enforcement actions, but part of an ongoing “criminal conspiracy.” This helps justify reopening old issues and punishing people they see as enemies.
Even more concerning, Bondi and her team seem to be trying to get around legal protections by calling past investigations “continuing crimes.”
Critics warn this could be used to ignore time limits on criminal charges and target political opponents forever.
This isn’t subtle.
It’s a plan.
By using terms like “weaponization,” Bondi echoed ideas often pushed by Trump’s supporters, like Kash Patel, who have claimed without proof that agencies like the FBI and DOJ only work for Democrats and against conservatives.
The message is clear: anyone who looked into Trump is now the real criminal.
While Bondi claims this is about “protecting civil liberties,” her words suggest the opposite — an administration that wants to revisit the past, change how things are seen, and use the power of the prosecutors as a tool for politics.
This isn’t about accountability.
It’s retribution dressed up as reform. And in this new time, the rule of law isn’t blind — it’s looking over its shoulder.
