Donald Trump repeatedly lashed out at White House correspondent Andrew Feinberg during a tense Oval Office press event Tuesday, warning the reporter to be careful, questioning his identity and later calling him a “sick person.”
But Feinberg wasn’t about to let the exchange go unanswered.
The confrontation began during an announcement of the administration’s new fraud-reporting incentive program. Feinberg, a correspondent for The Independent, questioned why whistleblowers would receive a proposed 1% reward when the longstanding False Claims Act can provide substantially higher percentages in qualifying cases.
“That’s actually worse,” Feinberg remarked after the administration clarified the proposed reward. He pointed out that whistleblowers under the False Claims Act can receive between 10% and 25% in certain circumstances.
Vice President JD Vance called his question “fundamentally dishonest,” while Trump demanded to know who the reporter was. Feinberg identified himself and his news organization.
Minutes later, as Trump discussed the war in Ukraine, the president singled out Feinberg again.
“I don’t know who the hell you are, but you better be careful,” Trump warned, pointing toward him.
Feinberg subsequently posted the clip on X with a simple response:
“I had told him exactly who I was not five minutes before this exchange.”
The confrontation wasn’t over.
When Feinberg later attempted to ask about Trump’s plans for a public golf course in Washington, the president interrupted him again.
“Quiet. Quiet! What’s wrong with you? Are you a sick person?” Trump demanded.
“Not that I know of, sir,” Feinberg replied.
“I actually think there’s something wrong with you,” Trump added.
Vance later shared footage of the confrontation online, describing Feinberg as an “imbecile journalist.” The reporter responded with another pointed message:
“Mr. Vice President, if you’re going to insult me at least have the guts to tag my account.”
What began as routine questions about government spending and a public golf course had become a series of personal attacks from the president and vice president.
Feinberg’s responses offered a sharp contrast: While Trump and Vance questioned and insulted the journalist, he continued to defend his right to ask questions — and made sure their remarks were on the public record.

Trump is an arrogant tryannical A-HOLE at least – Satan Incarnate at most. Amen?
