Donald Trump is angry at Fox News again — and this time, the president spelled out exactly what is bothering him.
In a new Truth Social post, Trump attacked the conservative cable network for giving airtime to Democrats and other voices who criticize Republicans and his administration.
And he named names.
“Why does FoxNews always put Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, Jessica Tarlov, and every Democrat on, saying bad things about the Republican Party and, of course, me?” Trump wrote.
That’s right: Trump’s complaint about Fox News included the fact that people appearing on the network were saying “bad things” about him.
The president then claimed Democrats receive more airtime on Fox than Republicans.
“I actually think they get more airtime than Pro Republicans,” he wrote.
Trump went even further, arguing that the network’s coverage is the reason his own supporters will never embrace Fox.
“This is why MAGA, and REAL Patriots, will never like Fox!” Trump declared.
He accused the network of repeatedly presenting what he called a “completely negative narrative” before Republicans are eventually given an opportunity to respond.
Trump then turned the complaint into a broader reflection on the political opposition he believes he faces.
“The opposition is enormous, but the fight goes on!” he wrote.
Among the people Trump singled out was Jessica Tarlov, the Democratic co-host of Fox News’ The Five and one of the network’s most prominent liberal voices.
Tarlov has repeatedly challenged Trump administration policies and Republican arguments while appearing alongside the overwhelmingly conservative panel on the highly rated program.
And she has attracted Trump’s attention before.
But the broader irony of Trump’s latest attack is difficult to miss.
Fox News remains home to some of the most prominent conservative voices in American television and devotes extensive coverage to Trump and his administration.
Yet simply providing airtime to Democrats criticizing him was enough for the president to publicly attack the network again.
Trump ended his post by pointing to his own electoral record and portraying himself as fighting against overwhelming political opposition.
For Fox News, it was another reminder of just how quickly Trump can turn against even a network with a heavily conservative lineup when its coverage includes criticism he doesn’t like.
This time, Trump himself explained what set him off.
They were saying “bad things” about him.
