BREAKING: Mitch McConnell’s hometown newspaper just published a BRUTAL “pre-obituary” absolutely trashing the “detestable” Senator’s political legacy!

Mitch McConnell hasn’t been out in public for more than a month because he had a serious health problem and was in the hospital.
He’s getting older, so a writer from the Louisville Courier Journal, Joseph Gerth, decided to write an honest obituary while McConnell was still alive.
He did this to stop the right-wing from complaining about being disrespectful to someone who’s not dead yet.
Gerth said, “Since McConnell might be recovering, I figured I’d talk about what I think about him now—when nobody can say, ‘How dare you write about a dead person?’”
Gerth explained that typical obituaries aren’t meant to praise someone or give a eulogy.
They’re supposed to tell the truth, even if the person is still alive.
He said McConnell is just as bad as Nixon, but unlike Nixon, McConnell never made things right for the country.
He hurt public trust in government, broke down meaningful conversation in the country, and made politics all about winning.
The fall of Nixon was a good thing for the country.
It’s hard to imagine McConnell ever having the courage or desire to stand up for the nation like Goldwater, Scott, and Rhodes did in 1974 when they told Nixon his time was up.
What McConnell will be remembered for is two things that did a lot of damage to the country and its politics.

First, his sneaky and fake way of handling the Supreme Court confirmation process over four years changed the court from a moderate-right group to a very-right group.
This court overturned 60 years of civil rights law and almost a century of laws that allowed Congress to check the president’s power.
McConnell used to say he left his party in 1964 and voted for LBJ because Goldwater opposed civil rights.
But he was a key player in breaking down those very rights he once supported as a young man.
It’s kind of fitting for someone who changed so much, who wrote about going to see Johnson sign the Voting Rights Act, that the court he helped build ended up striking down the last big part of the Voting Rights Act.

As the court he shaped chipped away at the Voting Rights Act, McConnell was happy.

And it’s not just that he built this court—it’s how he did it.

In 2016, he blocked Obama from appointing Merrick Garland to the court, saying the people should decide who to appoint in the last year of a president’s term.

Then, after Ruth Bader Ginsburg died in 2020, he forced through the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett just eight days before Trump lost the election.

McConnell’s actions turned what was once a 5-4 conservative court with one swing vote into a solid 6-3 group of far-right judges.

In doing so, he damaged the court’s trust with the American people.

But his biggest problem is his support for a president he thinks is ignorant and who he believes tried to take over the government on January 6th, 2021.

All for his own political gain.

Even when Trump ran for president again in 2024, McConnell kept supporting him.

Even when Trump made racist remarks about McConnell’s wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, McConnell still stayed loyal.

That’s the legacy of Mitch McConnell.
He ends his career by supporting anti-civil rights ideas like Barry Goldwater, thanks to a court he helped build that he doesn’t seem to have the courage to stand up against.
He never showed the bravery Goldwater had to oppose a corrupt and criminal president.

“Whew!
I’m glad I got that off my chest while he was still alive,” Gerth said.
All of this needed to be said, especially in McConnell’s hometown newspaper.
His actions have caused a lot of harm to the people of the United States, especially to people in Kentucky.We have a long and difficult fight ahead to restore trust in the Supreme Court and to break the influence of extreme right-wing ideas in this country.
McConnell will be remembered as one of the worst Americans who ever lived.
He spent his career weakening our democracy and giving power to rich people at the expense of everyone else, with no mercy and no care for working families.
