Donald Trump has shown who he thinks should be the next president in 2028, and it’s not Vice President JD Vance or Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to an analyst on Monday.
Jonathan V.
Last, editor of The Bulwark, said that Trump Media & Technology Group — which owns the president’s Truth Social platform — is planning a new product. This product would let subscribers see posts before they are posted publicly.Last called this move “the greatest trick in the history of insider trading.”
This new feature would let Trump and his family get information before it’s shared with the public.
They could then use that information to sell it, which might be linked to misleading the stock market, social media, and trading.Last said it’s a complicated situation.
“But believe me, this story is really interesting,” Last wrote.
“It shows how clever Trump is.And it points to another weakness in our economic and social system that we didn’t even know about.”
He also mentioned that this could explain why Don Jr.
might run for president.
Last explained how the Trump family’s financial interests in the social media platform might be influencing this business decision.
“Like the ballroom, the underground bunker, trying to influence the midterm elections, the Trump 2028 hats, and many other things, I think Truth API is another sign that Trump doesn’t want someone outside his family to take over the Republican Party,” Last wrote.
“There’s just too much money to be made,” Last said.
“He keeps building systems that help his family profit from owning the party.Truth API is another part of that plan.Do you think he’s building it just to give it up in 28 months?”
“Truth API could be worth a few hundred million dollars a year if a Trump is president or if there’s a 50-50 chance they become president,” Last wrote.
But there’s a catch.
“It’s worth nothing if Marco Rubio or JD Vance becomes president,” he added.
