Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is now openly accusing Donald Trump of going after Republicans who supported releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files, marking yet another dramatic fracture inside MAGA world.
Greene claimed that Trump has been targeting lawmakers who backed efforts to force a congressional vote on releasing documents tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. According to Greene, the retaliation began after a small group of Republicans broke ranks with party leadership and pushed for transparency.
“There were only 4 of us, Republicans, that signed the discharge petition to force the vote to release the Epstein files,” Greene wrote on X. “Thomas Massie, Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and myself. Trump has come after us one by one ever since then.”

The President told Speaker Johnson not to allow…
She also alleged that Trump personally pressured House Speaker Mike Johnson to block the vote from happening in the first place.
“The President told Speaker Johnson not to allow the vote to happen, but we courageously went against the President and refused to budge and overrode the Speaker to force the vote on record,” Greene said.
Greene went even further, accusing many Republicans of blindly following Trump until public pressure became too overwhelming to ignore.
She argued that GOP lawmakers were initially refusing to support releasing the Epstein files because they were “absurdly obedient to the President,” only changing positions once support for disclosure became politically unavoidable.
The Georgia Republican also suggested that major national crises, including economic struggles and ongoing wars, are distracting the public while powerful elites tied to Epstein remain protected from scrutiny.
According to Greene, “the Epstein class remains protected” because the full files still have not been released.
Despite the fallout, Greene insisted she has no regrets about defying Trump on the issue.
“I will never regret signing that discharge petition, refusing to back down, and resigning as I want nothing to do with a President and a Party that bows to the Epstein class,” she wrote.
The comments are particularly striking coming from Greene, who spent years as one of Trump’s most loyal and aggressive defenders in Congress before increasingly clashing with him over foreign policy, internal GOP power struggles, and the handling of the Epstein documents.
What was once one of the strongest alliances inside the MAGA movement is now unraveling in public.
